The 2014 Malabo Declaration reiterates African countries’ commitment toward attaining an agriculture revolution in the continent. A special commitment to “Mutual Accountability, Actions and Result” has been made to facilitate peer reviews, mutual learning and mutual accountability processes.

When the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) was established by the African Union assembly in 2003, African countries had a clear goal in mind:  to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty and increase food security through agricultural investment and growth.

The CAADP family welcomed its 30^th member on the African continent: Djibouti, an AU Member State located in the Horn of Africa, signed its CAADP compact on April 19, 2012.

Pretoria, South Africa -- ReSAKSS-SA led a regional survey as part of its strategic monitoring to track implementation of the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program (CAADP) and SADC Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan (SADC-RISDP).  This survey is consistent with the CAADP M&E framework which provides guidelines on the indicators to be tracked and type of data that needs to be collected under each key performance indicator.  It also tracks the progress individual countries have made toward achieving the CAADP targets.
