CAADP Mutual Accountability Framework and Country SAKSS Planning Meeting | July 19-21

The CAADP Mutual Accountability Framework (MAF) and Country Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support Systems (SAKSS) will be meeting together in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania for a three day in-depth discussion and analysis.  The focus will be on on strengthening and aligning monitoring capacity and systems in regards to create better data generation, monitoring mechanisms, review and support for policy making initiatives.

7th CAADP Partnership Platform to be held in Yaoundé, Cameroon this week

The 7th CAADP Partnership Platform will be held in Yaoundé, Cameroon on March 23-24.  The PP is meeting under the theme “Mutual Accountability in the formulation and implementation of country CAADP investment plans.”  ReSAKSS coordinator Sam Benin will be in attendance and presenting a draft of the 2010 Annual Trends and Outlook Report.

Getting Down to Business: Scaling Up Agricultural Development in Africa

The Partnership To Cut Hunger And Poverty In Africa hosted the third annual US-Africa Forum,  "Getting Down to Business: Scaling Up Agricultural Development in Africa," in Washington, DC on March 1-2, 2011.  The goals of the forum included assessing progress over the past year,  achieving 'more and better' investments in African agriculture, and developing recomendations for action to scale up the impact of the CAADP and Feed the Future initiatives.  To that end, the discussion focused on two themes: partnership and "learning while doing."
