FAO's Inititative on Soaring Food Prices:  Guide for Policy and Programmatic Actions at Country Level to Address High Food Prices, FAO 2011

Designed for "those involved in developing action plans to address the current issue of high food prices," this FAO guide considers interventions that can be applied in scenarios of rising food prices.  These interventions are considered along four types of action: macroeconomic policies, trade-related measures, measures in favor of consumers, and measures in favor of producers.

Gender Dimensions of Agricultural and Rural Employment: Differentiated Pathways out of Poverty, FAO, IFAD, ILO 2010

FAO, IFAD, and the ILO team up to investigate the gender dimensions of rural employment for the purpose of poverty reduction.  They emphasize that any policy action to enable pathways out of rural poverty should be informed by a contextual understanding of gender constraints as well as gendered rural livelihoods.
