A newly published working paper by the Regional Strategic Analysis and Knowledge Support Systems for East and Central Africa (ReSAKSS-ECA) explores the use of a dynamic Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model to demonstrate the value of the livestock sector to the economy.

The Partnership to Cut Hunger and Poverty in Africa (PCHPA) has published a policy brief reporting on the lessons of the third annual US-Africa Forum.  In this policy brief, the PCHPA summarizes findings from the forum and makes recommendations for activities going forward, including activities pertaining to CAADP, Feed the Future, and the broader objectives of ensuring food security in Africa.

FAO's Inititative on Soaring Food Prices:  Guide for Policy and Programmatic Actions at Country Level to Address High Food Prices, FAO 2011

Designed for "those involved in developing action plans to address the current issue of high food prices," this FAO guide considers interventions that can be applied in scenarios of rising food prices.  These interventions are considered along four types of action: macroeconomic policies, trade-related measures, measures in favor of consumers, and measures in favor of producers. 

Two recent publications consider the phenomena of farmland purchases so as to better inform and advise the key actors.  Farmland, an essential component of agricultural growth and development, is also the focus of CAADP Pillar 1.
