The Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP) Steering Committee will meet June 7-8th in Washington, DC to allocate remaining funds. Proposals from the original call for proposals will be evaluated for funding. Future calls for proposals are planned for early 2011 (private sector window) and late 2011 (public sector window).

An advance copy of ReSAKSS's flagship publication, the Annual Trends and Outlook Report (ATOR), is now available at ReSAKSS.org or for download here. The 2010 ATOR, titled “Monitoring African agricultural development processes and performance: a comparative analysis," offers a comprehensive and comparative look at trends in agricultural growth, poverty reduction, and development across geographic as well as economic regions within Africa.
Having completed the stocktaking and growth analysis stage, the Democratic Republic of the Congo will hold its Roundtable and CAADP Compact signing next week on Thursday, March 17th.
CAADP is Africa’s vehicle to unlock the potential for growth and poverty reduction through agriculture. At the last CAADP Partnership Platform we resolved to strengthen the participation of Non State Actors in agriculture through this transformation process. Whether farmers organisations, private sector organisations, civil society groups or the media; everyone has a vital role to play.
