Liberia to Receive $46m for Agriculture and Food Security

The Global Agriculture and Security Forum Funding (GAFSP) Steering Committee has allocated $46 million to Liberia in order to enhance the income of smallholder farmers, particularly women and youth, through irrigable land expansion, land husbandry improvement, and improvement of market access.  It will also build capacity for adaptive agricultural research and improve agricultural advisory services.  The supervising entity will be the African Development Bank.
