Food Security, Farming, and Climate Change to 2050: Scenarios, Results, Policy Options, IFPRI, 2010

Using a number of projected income and population growth combinations  (pessimistic, optimistic, and baseline) and five possible climate futures, the authors employ combined biophysical-socioeconomic modeling to estimate 15 different projections.  Distilling key insights and policy options from these scenarios, they find that: broad-based economic development is critical to sustainable food security; climate change can detract from the benefits of income growth; international trade can compensate for some of the negative impacts of climate change; and, perhaps most pertinent to the CAADP framework, "properly targeted agricultural productivity investments can mitigate the impacts of climate change and enhance sustainable food security."
