Fri, 02/26/2010

The Partnership to Cut Hunger and Poverty in Africa (“the Partnership”) will host a two-day US-Africa Forum on Food Security in Sub-Saharan Africa on February 25-26, 2010, in Washington, DC entitled “Putting Principles into Action”.  The forum will explore specific challenges related to the implementation of the US Global Food Security Initiative in sub-Saharan Africa. The objectives of the workshop will be to:

  • Develop a clearer, shared understanding of the challenges affecting the ability of the US to respond to country-determined food security priorities and other principles for action endorsed at the 2009 World Food Summit; and
  • Identify pragmatic options for addressing these challenges in order to achieve measurable progress over the next 12-24 months.

The agenda is available for download here.
