The ReSAKSS-hosted discussion group at the 2009 IAAE Conference brought together key actors and representatives from various institutions to discuss the future policy directions for African agricultural growth, poverty reduction and rural development. The session, which was chaired by Dr. Shenggen Fan, provided the audience with an overview of ReSAKSS and activities at the Africa-based nodes, before opening up to questions and dialogue from the audience.
