ABSTRACT

The Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) held the second Joint Agriculture Sector Annual Review (JASAR) workshop from 1st to 2nd November 2012 at Speke Resort Hotel, Munyonyo. The primary aim of the workshop of the JASAR was to take stock of the performance of the agricultural sector during the Financial Year (FY) 2011/12. This review exercise also served as a platform for the joint assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of implementation of the DSIP as well as of the status and implementation of the recommendations agreed to in the t Agricultural Sector Annual Review (ASAR) that was conducted in 2011. This report gives an overview of the workshop proceedings; the sector performance FY 2011/12, emerging issues and recommendations.
